Hotel Za Za in Dallas Texas was the backdrop to the Tieks by Gavriele Fashion Party. Poolside aqua blue drinks and neon shoes were everywhere. So many fashion bloggers were present to enjoy this great event and Relive Photography was there to capture the fun. We love photographing Commercial photography in Dallas.

(This month we have two focuses)
STREAMS AND VALLEYS – a Tarrant County organization that works to keep the Trinity River clean and safe. From their website: “We work on things like keeping the river’s water clean, building new trails, attracting bluebirds and creating master plans that keep all the river’s resources on track. We’ve been doing it since 1971, and 40 miles of trails and 8,000 trees later, we know there’s even more great stuff around the bend” We will be collecting BOTTLED WATER, at the valet entrance for this fantastic organization. If everyone could bring either one gallon or one case of bottled water, it would go a long way in helping Streams and Valleys support their volunteers who help clean up the rivers and parks.
THE FOUNDATION OF NACE – this nonprofit division of NACE works towards enhancing learning and education for NACE members, providing research studies, as well as working with in the community to provide scholarships for students entering our industry. We will be collecting money for the Foundation in our piggy banks to help contribute to their cause.
Here is where it began – Groom proposed in New York City’s Central Park- one of the couple’s most favorite places to be. The Bride was clueless- although the couple was in NY celebrating their anniversary/Bride’s birthday/Valentine’s weekend, the Groom threw her off completely. They went iceskating in Central Park, strolled the paths and finally found a great spot- at the top of a hill near a mini-waterfall. It was VERY cold that day, so as they sat on the rock, the Bride put her head on the Groom’s shoulder and the Groom jumped up for fear that the Bride would put her hand in his pocket– where the ring was! The Bride still had no idea what was to come, but the Groom finally went down on one knee and proposed. The Bride, while still in shock, said YES and now a year later, they got Married! Where? Alden Castle in Brookline MA – With Who? Amazing friends and family Why? Because of their obvious love!
The celebration was filled with vintage style wedding details everywhere. Alyssa is very talented and put together many of the unique details to be sure that her touch was throughout. She alone was stunning and she created a stunning event as well. Alyssa and Joe exude love… Joe was amazing at speaking to everyone about his clear admiration for his new bride. I often cry at weddings when I am touched by a couple and this was certainly one of those days. (I am so happy to be hidden behind my camera on these occasions-lol) I am so proud to have been a part of this beautiful day and event. Here is a sneak peak of images of their day. A couple of very fun and creative Dallas Texas Grooms great finds I found as I wandered into a fabulous store on Mckinney Ave in Dallas called Warehaus. The owner Patrick Ware was in and could not have been more hospitable! A very cool men’s store with a great edgy vibe. I found two items that were of particular interest for my Grooms and Groomsmen and would make super unique touches for mens wedding fashion photography. First was the amazing handcrafted wooden bow ties that are styled with both fabrics and leather. They are crafted in a high quality and very easy for use. Perfect for the guy that has a hard time tying a tie. These come in many different looks that can be used for an elegant affair to a casual dinner. Very fresh!

The second great find – a one of a kind pair of glasses. Not any old sunglasses, but frames made of wood called Shwood Sunglasses – These are authentic and chic and are available in many different styles. Also made for woman but for men, this would be such a fun grooms gift.

The Belo Mansion in Dallas Texas held a fabulous Open House. As a Dallas Wedding Photographer it was a great opportunity to be a part of this event. Dallas weddings aren’t the only thing I love to photograph – Venice glassblowing is something that I was drawn to when I visited Italy years ago. So when I found out that the Dallas Arboretum was displaying Dale Chihuly’s work of art – I knew it was an opportunity I could not miss. My husband and daughter and I went on a day trip and had an amazing day of it. I would recommend this botanical garden filled glass blown art to the art lovers out there. Here are some images to get a taste of what I photographed at the Arboretum. The Boats were my favorite that were designed in Finland and were filled with different glass shapes and Niijima Floats. These were inspired by fishing floats that Chihuly collected as a child. The combination of glass within nature was gorgeous.
